Ink and nib pen

What I've been doing for the past couple of days.I've been practicing using nib pen and ink like crazy. After realizing that felt pens, even tho convenient, they did not really show the thickness of the line naturally, (and quite frankly, I just got sick of them) I decided to try out nib pens, since they are commonly used in the comic industry.  The difference was quite visible to me.

I've tried to use nib pens before, but I guess nibs I used were either damaged or I just was a bit too inexperienced to make it work. So I forgot all about it and for years didn't even think of trying ink again. Until recently. Desucon in Lahti had an art stall and they sold Joseph Gillotts' Manga dip pens. I thought, why the hell not. I was very surprised how easy it was to use them in the end.
The only problem that occurred quite often was that the pen leaked big blotches of ink if you're not careful or took a bit too much ink. One other problem that I ran into was that my hands got often inky and I unintentionally left lots of fingerprints on my illustrations. But I guess this is something that you learn to control after lots of practice.

Anyway, I think I found a new medium to explore, and Imma keep doing that.
